Information we hold

Our aim is to hold nothing a feature could run without. Currently the list is:

• Identity basics: nickname, age confirmation, language, app preferences and, for full accounts, the email or login provider behind them. Guests receive an automatic account linked to the browser.
• Optional profile extras like a picture or a few lines about yourself, plus your follow list and your followers.
• Typed messages, both inside random text matches and in threads with people you follow.
• Records of matches and calls: when they happened, which mode they used (text, voice or video) and roughly how long they lasted.
• Purchases of coins, with the confirmation sent by the payment provider. Your full card number is handled by that provider and never stored by us.
• Reports in both directions, from you and about you, along with reviewer notes on them.
• Connection and device details, for instance IP, phone or computer model, browser version and crash logs, which help with stability and abuse detection.

Voice and video

Voice and video stream live from one participant to the other. Our records of them are the ones listed above: when a call took place, its mode and its approximate length, plus anything attached to a report. We cannot control the other person’s device, and they could record their screen, so treat anything you show or say as something a stranger might keep.

What we use it for

• Matching you with people and delivering messages, voice and video.
• Keeping your coin balance and Reward Center rewards accurate.
• Reviewing reports and enforcing the community guidelines.
• Finding and fixing bugs, and understanding in aggregate how features are used.
• Meeting legal duties, such as keeping purchase records or answering lawful requests.

Who else can see it

Chat partners get your nickname, country and profile, and anything you decide to type, say or show. Outside that circle, data reaches only the vendors keeping FreeChatNow online (hosting, payment processing, support software), limited to what each task requires. Selling personal data is not something we do.

How long we keep it

Account and profile data stays while your account exists. Chat, call and technical records stay only while they help operate the site, settle reports or stop abuse; after that they are erased or stripped of identity. Payment records follow whatever retention period tax law sets. Report records can be kept longer where they relate to a ban.

Your choices

• Edit or remove your profile photo, bio and nickname at any time.
• Ask for a copy of your data, a correction or deletion of your account by emailing [email protected].
• Clear your browser data to end a guest session on that device.
• Turn off camera and microphone permissions in your browser whenever you are not using voice or video.

Adults only

Over-18s only. If we learn an account belongs to someone younger, it is shut and its data wiped; we never set out to gather information about minors.

Changes and contact
